Last updated: March 16, 2026Savyn is developed by Savyn Labs. It is designed to shape itself entirely around what you care about — your interests, your schedule, your goals. In its current form, it works as your Android home screen, but it's built to be more than that: an OS layer that actually understands you.
Savyn stores all your personal data — conversations, notes, interests, schedule, self-model — locally on your device. When AI processing is needed, Savyn sends anonymized requests through our secure proxy to AI providers. Here's the flow:
Your data is never stored on our servers or the AI provider's servers. The proxy exists solely to keep your API keys safe — it forwards anonymized requests and returns results. Nothing is logged or persisted.
Savyn uses cloud AI for features that require large language models or search capabilities. Before any data leaves your device, personal identifiers (names, specific locations, contact details) are stripped or generalized.
When you chat in Daily Ops or Your Mind, your messages are sent to OpenAI's API for response generation. Conversation history stays on your device — only the current exchange is sent, with personal details anonymized.
Voice recordings are streamed to OpenAI's transcription service for real-time speech-to-text. Audio is processed in the moment and not retained by OpenAI or by us. The resulting text stays on your device.
When you save a link, Savyn may fetch its content via Exa (a search API) to understand what it's about. The URL and content summary are used to classify the link against your interests. No personal data is sent with these requests.
Savyn generates personalized images (like your avatar and interest visuals) via OpenAI's image API. The prompts describe visual styles and themes — they do not contain personal information, photos, or identifying details.
Pipelines like interest classification, self-model observation extraction, and pattern detection run on-demand (when you end a conversation or save content). These use AI to understand your interests and habits — always from anonymized context, never from raw personal data.
We use API-tier access to all AI providers. Per their terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. Your conversations do not improve anyone else's AI.
None of this is uploaded to our servers. We have no database of user data. We cannot access, view, or retrieve your information.
Lets Savyn see which apps you use and when. This helps surface the right apps at the right time and understand your daily patterns. This is a sensitive Android permission — you grant it explicitly in Settings. Usage data never leaves your device except in anonymized, aggregated form for AI context.
Used for voice input via the Nebula button. Audio is streamed directly to OpenAI's transcription service for real-time speech-to-text. Recording only happens while you hold the button — never in the background.
Used for task reminders and proactive check-ins from Savyn. You control which notifications you receive. No marketing or promotional notifications.
Used to schedule task alarms at the exact times you request. These run entirely on-device through Android's alarm system.
Required for AI processing (OpenAI, Exa) and subscription management (Google Play). All network requests go through our secure proxy. No personal data is transmitted beyond anonymized AI context.
Savyn offers optional paid plans (Pro and Ultra) managed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your payment information.
Your subscription status is managed by Google Play. We receive only the entitlement status (active/expired) — never your payment details, card numbers, or billing address.
Savyn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly process data from children. Since we don't collect personal data, this concern is inherently limited.
If we update this policy, we'll note the changes here and update the date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
